A whole day of recognisance meeting and greeting so many health care professionals and patients at the referral hospital. We ended up at the Lira university this afternoon and had a meeting with the tutorial team. They have requested an action packed teaching schedule which we are putting together this evening with a cold beer!! Tusker Hilary’s favourite!!!

We had a good look around the new hospital linked to the university which is huge, the departments that are open and up and running are Maternity- Antenatal and labour Ward, also the A&E department. All of which are a working progress. The people are just beautiful, very welcoming and happy to see us, we all can’t wait to start teaching/ visiting tomorrow and Frankie is working very hard to sort the timetable out,, making sure we all know what we are doing!!
